As a scuba diver I have access to an underwater world the average person doesn’t get to see. I bring this world to you through the videos I upload on my YouTube channel.
Checkout my latest dive video where I explore the inside of an airplane! This wreck was intentionally sunk so it could serve as an artificial reef and dive attraction. It sits in 60-80 feet of water and some cool marine life hangs out around it.
I value being authentic. Listening to yourself isn’t always easy when the world tells you to be someone different. Maintaining integrity takes consistent work and self-reflection, but ultimately leads to a fulfilling life.
I got scuba certified in Cabo, San Lucas in September 2022. This photo to the left was me on my third scuba dive ever. Since then I’ve been diving a few times a week either in Mexico or California. I also received my advanced open water certification in November 2022 which allows me to dive to 130 feet or 40m safely. I was certified as a Master Diver in September of 2023 and have a professional underwater camera rig that I use to capture life underwater.
When I first moved to San Diego I decided to buy a wetsuit since I knew that I would be spending a lot of time in the ocean. At the shop I saw several spearguns mounted to the wall. I was instantly drawn to the idea of hunting for fish underwater. I joined a local spearfishing group a few days later and I’ve been hooked since. I’ve gone spearfishing for Blue Fin Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, and White Sea bass to name a few of the species.
I began rowing in 2008 in Poughkeepsie, NY with coach Mike Smith or “Smitty”. I was chose to row the single scull because you had full control over the outcome of your race. I had some experiences where my teammates wouldn’t push as hard as I did and I wanted to win races, so the choice was simple for me. I became a “team player” in college at Boston University where I learned how to row in sweep boats (pairs, fours, and eights). After sustaining a back injury my sophomore year it took me a year and a half to figure out how to return to the sport with confidence. My senior year I decided to train solely for the single scull and in July 2017 I qualified for the U23 national team as the BM1x. I raced in Plovdiv, Bulgaria where I placed 22nd in the world after getting a stomach bug at 5am before my race. I’m still training for the joy of the sport and we’ll see where that leads.
My best friend is a 9lb poodle mix named Gracie. She has a crazy amount of energy and never gets tired of long walks or hikes. She was born October 18th 2020 and I groom her myself.
I’m a photographer, and under-water videographer. I’ve taken nearly all of the photos displayed on this site. I’m available for hire - feel free to contact me to schedule a shoot.
